KalpaVriksha was set up as a non government organization in October 2004. Our mission is to help students in rural areas by providing Elementary as well as Professional Education. Our first work started in a few schools in Uttar Pradesh, with just a handful of volunteers. The initiative rapidly picked up momentum. It fulfilled a latent need in the communities for quality education and also tapped into the energy and potential of some of the young people, who came forward to promote education issues in their neighbourhoods. KalpaVriksha is a national initiative that has helped lots of children gain access to quality primary education.
